I met this wonderful lady just after I opened my studio.  She was a friend of a friend of a friend.  The best kind.  <3

The other day a friend of my husband called  and asked him if he would be interested in donating his time to do the electrical installation of a hot tub for a woman battling cancer.  He immediately said yes!  When he arrived at the home he noticed  my images are hung all over!    What a small wonderful world.

I had the extreme pleasure of photographing Baby Mason.  We held his session at my Clinton Street Studio in downtown Syracuse NY.   He is simply so sweet and looks just like his dads side of the family.  His strength was well beyond his age, this kid is going to be a linebacker.  <3  For teh NY giants of course!!

Over the past few months, we have held {wet and wild} events at our Clinton Street Studio.  We invite local photographers and models to come together and create art and share information.  It was a huge success.

I love being part of a community, and having a studio in downtown Syracuse helps make it all the better.  <3

Baby Z {newborn} central NY newborn photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting baby Z over the weekend.  She is so beautiful, and has the cutest nose!  I was able to use my new studio for this session, so this all natural light.  It is so beautiful, and what I prefer!  I am now booking Newborn sessions, contact me for more details.

I had a fantastic 2010, and I am eagerly looking forward to 2011.  I will be kicking it up a notch in 2011, so you can expect big things from raineydayz photography.  This is not your average photo studio, I offer so much more!

{Senior Portrait} CNY photographer

I may have graduated from highschool when this beauty was born!  :)  Now, don’t go doing the math!  LOL…..but I “may” have.  I remember the excitement of the photoshoot…..proofing the images, and getting that final product in my hands.  I worked extra hard and saved the money and presented my dad and step-mother with an album of proofs as a suprise christmas gift.  :)  I will never ever forget the excitement I had handing them over MY present.  I was alllll grown up.  LOL, well sort of.

There is something magical about a senior in highschool.  They are such a mix of emotions, and down right FUN!!  I find myself wishing (OK, even thinking….LOL) that I am again 18 and always end up laughing at the end of the session and feel true positive energy!  :)   I love these girls, and have quickly adopted them into my heart.

These girls are my newest models!!  Ashley and Ally!!  I seriousally am theee luckiest photographer!!  They shine in front of the camera and are up for anything fun!!!  It was fun to hang out with these girls  and Ashley’s mom, who btw, was Colton’s pre-k teacher.  LOVE HER!   I am so glad we are friends!!

This is one of my favorite poses of all time.   Being a natural light portrait artist, allows for a creative session that you can’t buy from a chain studio…or the creative touch that you just don’t get straight out of the camera.  Each of my images are hand edited.

She is my princess…. {MINE}

I had the pleasure of prop shopping a few days ago at a local antique shop.  I found a pram that I am just head over heels about.  It is exactly what I have been looking for..and more. I knew my boys (6 and 4) would have nothing to do with the pram….so I put my princess kitty in it.  Her name is cutie and she such a good girl.  I love her….she loves me.  Even tho she looks a wee bit mad at me in this photo.

Baby love………{NEWBORN}

Newborns are so sweet.  I love every thing about them.  They are so squishy, smell so good, look like angels when they sleep, and just love to be loved!  Here is one of my fav. newborns!  He holds a huge spot in my heart!

And my absolute favorite!  Notice his i <3 u  in sign language….awww.

Her wedding day…..{mine}

My sister is married.  She is all grown up.  :)  I am so proud of my brothers and sisters.  I mean super uber proud.  I am the proud older sister of 5 brothers and 3 sisters.  I hate to give my age away…..but I was 14 when my littlest brother was born.  :)  I have several special memories helping to raise them.  The fights, the constant babysitting, the hugs, the plays I would make them put on (and I am not sorry..ha ha ha, one was even in FRENCH!  OMG! ha ha ah), the kickball games we played, the laughter we had, OMG, the laughter……all great kids!  My siblings.  <3

Here are some pictures I took on my sister Jasmines big day.  The weather was amazing, the location TO DIE FOR, and the love they share was pure magic.  I get chills still when I picture how my now brother in-law looked when he saw my insanely beautiful sister walk down the isle and their eyes met.  It is my absolute favorite moment in a wedding.  I love watching the grooms reaction….it is powerful!

…I was born a fan he says…{mine}

We spent the most beautiful night at the races this past weekend.  My cousin Chad Phelps known as the “X-MAN”, races so we went to see him and spend time with my Aunt.  The kids had a blast, me too!!  They had the cutest meet the driver event going on, so we got autographs galore!  :)  Someday I will have my business name on my cousin’s car, someday!

I had the pleasure of hanging out with this couple for a few hours for their engagement photos.  We traveled to Watertown NY, and I shot this session at a historical park there.  The trip was worth it….so totally worth it.  <3

Here is a sneak peek for mom and dad!  I had so much fun with this family today.  You will see his face again soon!  :)  When I see a cute baby, I just HAVE to keep taking their picture! 

You can’t catch me he says…..{mine}

My boys have pretty much grown up with me having my camera all the time.  They know all my tricks…..and keep me on my toes.  The greatest single thing about my photography journey is how it has opened their eyes to the beauty everywhere.  Austin is constantly telling me to get my camera.  He wishes he had a camera implanted in his eyes!  I LOVE that they see things differently.  Austin is proud to be “weird!” ME TOO!  He often runs and says, “you can’t catch me mom…” meaning with my camera,  oh….he is so wrong.  I got ‘em….and, it gives me this genuine smile!

Our Mini Session

I can’t get over how big my baby has gotten. If you are just joining my photography journey, this is my youngest son. He was an IUGR baby born at 34 weeks weighing 3 pounds 4 ounces. He is 4 years old now and so full of life. He is a miracle in every way!
